Crochet forms part of a series of 25 crochet projects each. The first in the series introduces the reader to modern and unique crochet projects for women. The author or designer has a refreshing approach in which she uses a bohemian undertone in her designs. Boho or bohemian style is the latest trend in fashion internationally. The projects are diverse and are crocheted with different yarn, which includes chunky as well as lacework – something for everyone.The 25 projects includes: 4 Summer garments: A triangle top in pure cotton, an unusual flower shawl, a lacy block top and strap top; 4 Winter garments: An interesting lace block top with aran cotton (unusual), a hexagon waistcoat in pure wool, a tunic with wide sleeves and a kimono in different pattern stitches; 4 Scarves and shawls: Infinity scarf, triangular shawl, lace shawl with buttons, shoulder shawl with flowers and pastel square scarf; 9 Accessories which includes a belt, a sun hat, a slouchy, slippers and leg warmers as well as 4 handbag patterns; 4 Jewelry items like bangles, earrings and a unique richly decorated necklace; The patterns are unique designs by the well-known author, Karen Adendorff; All the patterns are designed with local yarn, mostly sponsored by Saprotex, but other local yarn like pure cotton and wool by local South African producers, are also included; The book includes basic stitch explanations used, as well as abbreviations and symbols; Patterns have diagrams and make it more user-friendly.
